The WNBA team will host its home playoff games at Williams Arena, the team announced Thursday. The Lynx’s regular-season home this year is Xcel Energy Center.

Target Center, the team’s permanent home, is out of commission this summer as it undergoes renovations.

The move from Xcel Energy Center to Williams Arena is meant “to accommodate the Minnesota Wild 2017-18 preseason schedule and other building events.”

“We want to thank the Xcel Energy Center and the city of St. Paul for providing the Lynx an incredible home court advantage for the 2017 regular season, one in which we have seen our attendance increase and our fan base grow exponentially,” Lynx president Chris Wright said in a statement. “This regular season has been a tremendous success both on and off the court and we thank our amazing fans for their support.”

This is the second-straight season the Lynx will move to play postseason games. Last year, with Target Center occupied by a circus, Minnesota played two semifinal games at the X. The Lynx (17-2) are currently in the driver’s seat for home-court advantage throughout the playoffs. Minnesota holds a three-game lead over the second-place Los Angeles Sparks.
