Franklin “Frank” Joseph Waletzki, 77

Franklin “Frank” Joseph Waletzki, 77, of Austin, Minnesota, died Saturday, Aug. 26, 2017, at Our House Memory Care in Austin.

The youngest of six children, Frank was born Jan. 25, 1940, in Brownsdale, Minnesota, to Anton and Catherine (Braun) Waletzki.

He was married to Delores (Maxfield) for over 50 years. He worked as a machinist for Lou-Rich in Albert Lea, Minnesota, until his retirement in 2005.

Frank loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting, particularly the annual opening day in Ely with his extended family. In retirement, Frank also enjoyed traveling with his wife Delores.

Frank is survived by his wife: Delores Waletzki, Austin; son and daughter-in-law, Todd and Michelle Waletzki, Plano, Texas; grandchildren, Garrett Waletzki, Plano; and Nicole Waletzki, Salina, Kansas; great-granddaughter: Kathryn; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his son Danny; his parents; and siblings, Rudy, Tony, Eldora, Violet and Floyd.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m.  on Thursday, Aug. 31, at Crane Community Chapel with the Rev. Dale Christiansen officiating. Interment will be at Byron Cemetery in Byron, Minnesota. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Clasen-Jordan Mortuary and one hour before the service at the church on Thursday.

Honorary bearers will be Randy Huffman and Dick Lang. Casket bearers will be Darrell Montgomery, Larry Waletzki, Gary Waletzki, Terry Waletzki and Robert Huffman.
