An Austin man who made terroristic threats toward his ex-girlfriend in April will spend 90 days in jail.

David Michael Mattson-Fuller, 19, was sentenced to a stayed prison term of 18 months for felony terroristic threats-reckless disregard risk on Friday in Mower County District Court. He was sentenced to 90 days in jail and five years of probation. He must follow 29 conditions and pay $85 in fees and fines.

Mattson-Fuller pleaded guilty in July as part of a plea agreement. Charges for felony fifth-degree assault and felony domestic assault were dropped as part of the deal.

According to court records, Mattson-Fuller was arrested on April 26 after allegedly hitting his ex-girlfriend while she was at a friend’s house. Mattson-Fuller was arrested the next day after she showed police profanity-laced texts she received from him, in which he threatened her with violence if she did not drop the charges against him.

Mattson-Fuller is on probation for felony theft and felony third-degree assault-substantial bodily harm, both convictions from other cases.
