The Blooming Prairie football team had a big first half as it beat Wabasha-Kellogg (1-2 overall) 40-14 on the road Friday.

The No. 10 ranked Awesome Blossoms (3-0 overall) racked up 286 rushing yards as they led 33-0 at the half. Max Romeo had rushing touchdown and a receiving touchdown for BP, and Seth Peterson had two passing TDs.

“We’d like to see our defense play better in the second half,” BP head coach Chad Gimbel said. “We kind of lost focus. We’d like to start finishing games.”
