The teacher told police Johnson came to his class very agitated. He told another teacher Johnson should go to the mental health room for his behavior.

He then told police Johnson threw a desk at him, which missed, then started throwing other classroom objects at him. The teacher ran and was chased by Johnson, who punched him three times in the back. The teacher then turned the corner and caught his foot on the carpet, causing him to turn his ankle and fall.

Johnson jumped on top of him and started punching him until another teacher intervened.

The teacher went to the hospital and was diagnosed with a sprained ankle and a scapula contusion with nerve impingement.

Johnson is scheduled to appear in court again on Sept. 25.
