Retiring Mower County employee honored by commissioners

The Mower County Board presented a Service Award to Jennifer Grobe at its meeting on Monday.
Grobe is retiring from the Law Enforcement Center after 34 years working for the county. Sheriff Terese Amazi praised Grobe after law enforcement from the city of Austin and the county crowded together in front of the board’s dias for a photo with Grobe.
“She will definitely be missed for her quality of work and her personality,” Amazi said.
Grobe has been training her replacement for the communications clerk position.
