Blooming Prairie football team knocks off Southland

The No. 3 seeded Blooming Prairie football team upended No. 6 Southland by a score of 54-22 in a Section 1A quarterfinal game in BP Tuesday.
Sophomore Matthew Pryor racked up career highs of 241 rushing yards and five touchdowns in the win for the Awesome Blossoms (7-2 overall).
“The offensive line did a great job of blocking in the first half,” BP head coach Chad Gimbel said. “They opened up holes and got him into the second and third levels.”
Carl Mueller threw for 360 yards and three TDs for Rebels (2-7 overall).
BP will play at No. 2 Rushford-Peterson Saturday at 7 p.m.
