Microgrants available to help with goals
Published 9:28 am Saturday, October 28, 2017
Minnesotans with disabilities who are receiving home and community-based services or have an active Level 3 or 4 individual education plan and have financial barriers to their competitive employment, inclusive housing and community integration goals may apply for microgrants now.
Do you have a goal related to competitive employment, inclusive housing and community integration? When you apply, tell us how $100 to $1,000 will help you reach your goals.
Maybe a job coach, training or uniform will help you reach your employment goals. Application fees, moving expenses or home furnishings might help you achieve your ideal housing situation.
Class registration fees, a membership or adaptive equipment might make community integration possible. Microgrant money may not be used for camps, conferences, vacations or out-of-state travel. Some out-of-state travel may be considered for residents living near state borders.
The application review and grant process may take up to 45 days, including a review by the Department of Human Services for requests over $500.
The fasted way to apply is on online. Go directly to bit.ly/Apply4MMGP.
