The Riverland Community College Blue Devils volleyball team dropped a three-game match to Minnesota State Community and Technical College Saturday 22-25, 16-25, 18-25.
RCC grabbed earlier momentum in game one, jumping to an 8-4 lead before MSCTC mounted a comeback to take the lead and eventually the game.
“We started out great,” Head coach Helen Jahr said. “We started off with a tough serve and 8-4 lead and we hung with them. We just never gained our momentum back.”
Sam Siskow had 14 kills, two blocks and 13 digs to lead the Blue Devils with Elly Buck tallying 10 kills, two aces and 13 digs. Marissa Hart had 23 set-assists.
Riverland is on the road for a Crossover Tournament in Coon Rapids, Minnesota Oct. 19 and 20.
