A growing global food manufacturing ingredients company is hiring for the following full-time opportunity: COMPLIANCE AND REGULATORY MANAGER

Can be located at either our Headquarters in Hudson, WI or Manufacturing Facility in Albert Lea, MN

Plan, coordinate and direct the facility Compliance and Regulatory Programs to ensure compliance with all company Policies and Procedures, Customer Specifications and domestic and international Regulatory requirements.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Understand and assist in managing the Food Safety operations in a food manufacturing facility.  Ensure that plant and all plant personnel are operating in compliance with all company procedures, customer requirements, local, state, federal and international regulations.  Assist with managing Quality Assurance, Food Safety, and HACCP programs  Assist with technical customer assistance  Develop policies and procedures as needed and provide training to employees to ensure compliance.  As necessary, communicate cross functionally regarding current and emerging food regulation.  Periodically assist with physical and organoleptic evaluations of products and ingredients.  Coordinate/Conduct internal facility audits, accompany investigators, and help to ensure corrective actions and follow-up reports are tracked and completed.  Assist with investigations into incidents, quality issues, and complaints. Document findings, perform trend analysis, and communicate to management, employees and customers as appropriate.  Participate on Quality and Food Safety Teams.  Other duties and tasks when necessary.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree in an applicable scientific discipline.  5+ years in a quality management position in a food plant, preferably in a spray drying environment.  Ability to problem solve using unique approaches and out-of- the-box thinking  Experience with GFSI, specifically FSSC 22000  Excellent written and oral communication skills.  Excellent organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task.  Ability to interact in a positive way with all personnel and customers.  Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
