Designated Employment Specialist

Cedar Valley Services has openings for a Designated Employment Specialist in both our Austin and Albert Lea divisions.

Will develop work sites with community employers for the purpose of providing training and employment experience for our consumers.

Works very closely with community employers.

Abilities include above average written and verbal communication skills and the ability to deal professionally and effectively with both internal and external CVS customers.

Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment, display good judgment, confidentiality and have the ability to prioritize and multi-task.

Requirements include: Bachelor Degree in Human Services related field and one year of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities; OR, A.A. Degree in Human Services related field and two years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities; OR, Diploma in Human Services related field from an accredited postsecondary institution and three years of full-time experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities; OR, Minimum of 50 hours of education and training related to human services and disabilities; AND, four years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities under the supervision of a staff person who meets one of the first three qualifications. Placement experience desirable. Computer knowledge required.
