PUBLIC WORKS EQUIPMENT OPERATOR

Starting wage is $19.69 – $21.85/hour based upon experience. This full-time union position is in the Highway-Public Works Department. Responsible for conducting maintenance and repair activities on assigned portions of County roads, highways and bridges. Maintains and cares for assigned pieces of equipment; blades and grades gravel roads; assists in the plowing and sanding of roads; hauling of construction and maintenance materials; and operating paving, loaders, and backhoes in the paving or maintenance/repair of roads and culverts. Position requires a high school diploma and two years of experience operating a variety of maintenance and construction equipment. A valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A and MNDOT health card are position requirements at entry.
