Austin man pleads guilty to drug sales

Cody Earl Wallace Dill, 25, of Austin pleaded guilty to felony third-degree sale of a narcotic on Friday in Mower County District Court  as part of a plea agreement. Two additional charges of felony third-degree sale of a narcotic will be dismissed at the sentencing.

A confidential police informant purchased heroin from Dill in June.

Dill was arrested in September after police executed a search warrant on his residence in the 700 block of Fifth Avenue Northwest.

In Minnesota, felony third-degree sale of a narcotic carries a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.

Dill will be sentenced on Feb. 1.
