Mower County District Court Judge Jeffrey Kritzer sentenced Kenneth Nathaniel Mitchell, 36,
of Lino Lakes, on Thursday to 60 months in the Minnesota Correctional Facility in St. Cloud for felony third-degree drug sales of a narcotic-subsequent offense.
A charge of second-degree sales of a schedule I or II narcotic in a school zone-subsequent offense was dropped at the sentencing as part of a plea agreement on Sept. 22.
Mitchell received credit for 402 days served.
A confidential police informant purchased 0.44 grams of heroin from Mitchell through a middleman on First Avenue Northwest, within a block from Austin High School, on May 31, 2016.
Mitchell has prior convictions, including felony drug convictions.
Mitchell’s 60-month sentence will be served concurrently with a 110-month sentence he is currently serving for felony first-degree drug possession of 50 grams of more of cocaine or methamphetamine from a case in Ramsey County.
