Five people injured in car accident

Five people suffered non-life threatening injuries after an accident Wednesday evening in Waltham.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol report, a 1996 GMC Suburban driven by a juvenile male was headed north on Hwy. 56. It was turning left onto First Street when it collided with a 2006 Chevy Sliverado heading southbound on Hwy. 56.
Hayfield Fire and Ambulance and Dodge Center Ambulance assisted at the scene.
The occupants of the Silverado, a 41 year-old driver and three nine-year-old passengers, were transported to St. Marys in Rochester with non-life threatening injuries. The Suburban’s 17 year-old female passenger was also transported to St. Marys with non-life threatening injuries.
