The race for the first congressional district seat has attracted many good DFL candidates, but there is one that I would like to bring to your attention- Dan Feehan. Visiting and reading his website will assure you of his qualifications, but I would like to point out something that impressed me, his commitment to service. He served his country in combat in Iraq, his students as a teacher, his country as acting assistant secretary of defense at the Pentagon, and is now serving as an adjunct senior fellow at the Center for a New American Security

During his campaign, he is stressing service to others. I had the pleasure to do yard work and painting with Dan during one of his many Service Saturdays. This commitment to service is an important part of his character and will be with him in congress as our representative. He will serve us by fighting for fair and quality health care, an economy that will insure our children opportunities here in Minnesota, and the rights our veterans have earned.
