Aubrey Lee Ushera, 41, of Austin, pleaded guilty to felony terroristic threats on Tuesday in Mower County District Court as part of a plea agreement.
He initially pleaded not guilty on Sept. 11. A charge of felony third-degree assault will be dropped at the sentencing.
Officers responded to an assault call at 5:56 p.m. on Aug. 1 in the 800 block of 10th Street Northeast. They spoke to a female resident, whose lip was bleeding. She told police that she was babysitting the children at the residence when Ushera came over. She said she used to be friends with him, but he had hit her and thrown her down the stairs in the past.
She told him to leave because she did not want to be bothered by him. She said Ushera threatened to kill her the next time he saw her and that he would shoot her.
In Minnesota, felony terroristic threats carry a maximum penalty of five years in prison and a $5,000 fine.
Ushera will be sentenced on Feb. 8.
