Austin girls hockey team falls to Red Wing

The Austin girls hockey team lost 12-2 to Red Wing (15-4 overall, 7-1 Big Nine) in Riverside Arena Thursday.
Red Wing’s Taylor Heise scored three of her five goals in the first period as the Wingers jumped out to a 6-1 lead.
Jaiden Schuster and Jordyn McCormack each had one goal for the Packers (6-12 overall, 4-9 Big Nine) and Erin Bickler had one assist.
Shelby Davidson-Newkirk had 43 saves and Austin had 20 shots.
