The Hayfield girls basketball team beat Cannon Falls (8-12 overall, 2-9 HVL) 72-40 on the road Tuesday.

Carrie Rutledge went four-for-five on threes as she scored 23 points for the Vikings (17-3 overall, 10-1 HVL) and Maggie Streightiff added nine points as she returned to the lineup from an injury for Hayfield.
