Kothenbeutel clinches career scoring mark as Bruins rally past Blizzard

The Austin Bruins had a long-time forward make team history and they also produced a big time comeback as they beat the Brookings Blizzard 5-4 in overtime on the road Wednesday night.
Travis Kothenbeutel, who has played for Austin in each of the last four seasons, became the team’s all-time leading scorer with two points in the win, which saw Austin come back from a 4-0 deficit.
Dan Petrick scored the game-winning goal for Austin (17-10-1-4 overall) in the overtime period.
Brookings (14-17-1-2 overall) had led 4-0, but Garett Dahm scored his first NAHL goal to make it 4-1 and Devon Fields, Evan Cholak and Dante Zapata all added goals to tie the game.
Alex Schilling picked up the win in relief for Austin as he stopped all 16 of the shots he saw. Mads Sogaard stopped 11 of 15 shots.
