Patricia Kay Andrews, 77, of Austin, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2018, at Sacred Heart Care Center, surrounded by her loving family.
Patricia was born on June 8, 1940, to Bruce and Evelyn (Severtson) Andrews in Blue Earth, Minnesota. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Olaf Lutheran Church and attended Austin High School. Pat’s passion was her family. She enjoyed embroidery, making many beautiful stitched tablecloths and wedding pillowcases as gifts. Her love of cooking and baking kept her life busy. Every year for 60 years she entered her beautiful embroidery items and her baked goods at the Mower County Fair. She received many ribbons, including Grand Champion. Pat was a member of the Mower County Senior Citizens Center where she enjoyed playing cards. Her friends and family will miss her dearly.
Patricia is survived by four sisters, Sandra Carroll, Bonnie Britt, Cheryl (Jim) Epley, and Sheila (Bob) Helmers, all of Austin; nieces and nephews, Terri (Brian) Cambern, Julie (Mike) Diaz, Steve (Renae) Carroll, John Karnes Jr., Sheri (Juan) Escondon, Shelly (Jason) Buresh, Angela Ferch, and Valerie (Kenny) Yeakel; and several great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bruce and Evelyn Andrews; two infant brothers; and triplet sisters in infancy.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 3, 2018, at St. Olaf Lutheran Church with Pastor Susan Li officiating. There will be a visitation held for one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Worlein Funeral Home of Austin is assisting the family with arrangements.
