Keith J. Farrell, 72

Keith J. Farrell, 72, of Brownsdale, Minnesota, died Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2018, at Comforcare Good Samaritan Society in Austin, Minnesota.

Keith was born Jan. 31, 1946, in Austin, the son of Robert and Gladys (Cerny) Farrell. He attended school at Brownsdale and became a mechanic. He was the owner of Keith’s Repair in Mapleview, Minnesota. Keith married Kathleen K. Skjeveland and they had two children, Chris and Rebecca. They later divorced. He was married to Janet Hansen.

Keith enjoyed the Monday card games with his sisters, his football bets with George and watching WWE Wrestling with his nephew, Richard. He also liked to watch a variety of game shows on television.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Robert and William; a granddaughter, Maddison Farrell; brothers-in-law, Norman Anderson, Lowell Pike, Darrell Maas and Giles Motzko.

Keith is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Debbie Farrell, Austin; daughter, Rebecca Schilling, Charles City, Iowa; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sisters, Judy Pike, Brownsdale, Gloria Anderson, Brownsdale, and Joyce Motzko, Brownsdale; sisters-in-law, Retha Farrell, Brownsdale, and Doris Farrell, Lansing, Minnesota; nephews and nieces.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the staff of Comforcare Good Samaritan Society, St. Croix Hospice and the doctors and staff of the Mayo Clinic for their care and kindness. A very special thank you to Keith’s loving sisters for all of their care and help.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 10, at Clasen-Jordan Mortuary with Chaplain Theresa Turnbull officiating. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour before the service on Saturday at the Mortuary.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
