Members of the Chamber’s Business Education Committee presented scholarship awards to six, eighth grade students at the 31st annual ACCESS Scholarship Banquet, Sunday, March 4 at the Hormel Historic Home. Amounts of the awards ranged from $200-$500.
This year’s eighth grade winners included:
Megan Schultz, first place

Samuel King and Miriam Rojas, fourth place
Family members, sponsors and school officials also attended the dinner banquet.
Four additional scholarships, totaling $4,000, will be awarded to high school seniors later this spring. All four recipients were unable to attend the banquet, due to state DECA competition.
Senior awards will be presented to Elijah Hirst, Emily Sayles, Paiton Schwab and Tara Watkins at Austin High School’s Awards Ceremony, May 9.
Established in 1988, the ACCESS Scholarship program has awarded more than $200,000 in scholarships to more than 330 students. Cash awards are made possible through Chamber business member donations.
