The Austin High School drama department will serve up some good, old-fashioned theater with the presentation of “D.K. Molar, the Devious Dentist (Or: There’s Gold in Their Teeth)” at 7 p.m. March 15, 16 and 17 in Christgau Hall at AHS.

Zach Farr [Phil de Tooth] and Rachel Christenson [Flossy Daily] share a scene during rehearsal for the Austin High School play “D.K. MOLAR, The Devious Dentist.”

The melodrama, directed by Gordy Handeland,  centers on the antics of the depraved dentist, D. K. Molar and his nurse, Nova Caine, who have devised a scam to extract gold from patient’s fillings and replace them with “fool’s gold.”

However, his receptionist, Flossy Daily, and the young dentist, Phil De Tooth, start investigating and the fun begins.

Willem Huizenga, playing the part of the villanous D.K. Molar, gets the drop on the rest of the cast during a rehearsel for the play, “D.K. MOLAR, The Devious Dentist.”
