Evan Jon Hill, 24, of Rose Creek was sentenced on Monday in Mower County District Court to 15 months in the Minnesota Correctional Facility in St. Cloud for felony possession of pornographic work involving a minor. He received credit for 269 days served.
Hill was initially sentenced to 180 days in jail, five years of probation and 150 hours of community service on Feb. 23, 2017, but received the prison sentence for violating his probation.
Judge Christa M. Daily issued the sentence.
Hill was charged in December of 2015 after a woman found naked photographs of her children on Hill’s phone. She gave the phone to a Mower County deputy.
Hill called the sheriff’s office later that day to report that his phone was stolen.
A Mower County detective searched the phone via a search warrant and found eight explicit pictures involving minors.
