Bobby Paul Khaoone, 29, of Austin was charged on Wednesday in Mower County District Court with felony second-degree possession of 25 grams or more of cocaine or methamphetamine.
Department of Corrections agents arrested Khaoone on a warrant at 12:58 p.m. on Tuesday in a garage in the 2000 block of Third Avenue Northeast, according to the court complaint. They allegedly saw a meth tube in a drawer, prompting law enforcement to obtain a search warrant. The garage was set up as a makeshift apartment and law enforcement allegedly found three bags containing a substance that tested positive as methamphetamine in a drawer under a coffee table in the middle of the room. The meth weighed a total of 41.74 grams.
A bag including two scales, smaller bags for packaging, a meth pipe and a tube with meth residue were also found, according to the complaint.
A review of Khaoone’s criminal record shows prior convictions for giving a false name to a peace officer, assault and drug possession.
Khaoone will appear in court again on April 10.
