Boyle, Vu, are March Rotary Students of the Month

Jennifer Boyle and Lina Vu have been named March Rotary Students of the Month.
Boyle is a two-time state champion gymnast, a member of both National Honor Society and DECA, and a recipient of the “High Distinction” honor. She said she is “very pleased with [her] educational experiences throughout high school” and truly appreciates the teachers she has had. Future plans include attending the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire to major in biochemistry with an eye toward a career in neurology.
Vu is a member of Student Council, Kiwanis, and the Science Olympiad team in addition to playing violin with the Austin High School Symphony Orchestra.
“I feel very grateful for being able to have such an enjoyable education experience so far,” says Lina. “My teachers are awesome and [they] enjoy teaching students.”
Lina’s future plans include attending the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities with the overall goal of becoming a physician.
Each month the Austin Rotary, in conjunction with Austin Public Schools, selects two students who excel in academics, leadership, and/or activities.
