Garage fire on 11th Avenue Southwest

The Minnesota State Fire Marshal has been called to investigate a garage fire in southwest Austin Friday afternoon.
Austin fire and police departments responded to a call of a garage fire at 2:48 p.m. at 706 11th Ave. SW, according to Austin Fire Chief Jim McCoy who was first on the scene.
“There was smoke showing on the exterior and flames in the interior,” McCoy said. “There was also a pick-up involved.”
The garage is located in an alleyway between 10th and 11th Avenues.
The cause of the fire is currently unknown.
