Level 3 predatory offender being released to Austin

Austin Police Chief Brian Krueger announced on Friday that Evan Jon Hill, a level three predatory offender, in being released to Austin on Monday, April 16.
Hill, 24, is being released after serving a sentence for engaging in sexual conduct and contact with minor male and female victims, ages 6-14. The conduct included taking nude photos of victims, sexual touching and penetration. He will reside at a home in the 700 block of Eighth Street Northeast and will require registration with law enforcement.
Krueger said Hill has served his sentence and is not wanted on any charges. Under Minnesota law, law enforcement agencies may inform the public of a sexual or predatory offenders release to create awareness. Hill is not allowed contact with minors or to be in an area where minors are present. If he is seen with a minor or in an area with minors, the public is urged to call the police.
Krueger said the notification is for public safety purposes only and that Hill is not to be harassed. Anyone who does so could face criminal charges.
