The Zonta Club of Austin hosted the seventh annual Women of Achievement Dinner at the Holiday Inn & Conference Center.  The dinner honors women from Mower County. This year’s honorees were Pastor Shari Mason; First Congregational UCC, and Nancy Donahue, Mower County Senior Center Advocate.

Zonta International works to educate women and this year our speaker, Vera Ndumbe, spoke on the “Road to Success.”  She told us about coming to the United States not speaking the language and now she is currently the Vice President of Spring Valley Living in Spring Valley, Minnesota.

Mary Jo Follmuth, Service Committee chair with Anna Keefe, Non Traditional Scholarship winner and her daughter Ava.

The Non Traditional Scholarship winner, Anna Keefe, was in attendance with her daughter Ava. She received a $1,000 check to use at Riverland Community College. The Young Woman in Public Affairs winner, Kathleen Willrodt, was not able to attend the dinner so her $500 check will be presented at a later date.
