Gilo is currently serving a 60-month prison sentence for felony violent felon in possession of a firearm with a concurrent sentence of 12 months and one day in prison for felony fifth-degree drug sales of marijuana; the new sentences will be served concurrently.

Judge Kevin Siefken issued the sentences.

According to court documents, Gilo was arrested on a warrant on the night of Jan. 20 after police received information that he frequently rode in a vehicle belonging to a woman who had a domestic abuse no contact order against him. Police spotted the vehicle and followed it until it parked in a driveway at the intersection of Fifth Street and Fifth Avenue Southwest. Gilo then exited from the passenger side and ran, but was caught and placed in the squad car.

The woman who had the domestic abuse no contact order against him was driving the car. She told police she had “no reason” for driving him around and was aware he had a warrant for his arrest.

Police found a pill bottle on the passenger side seat that contained five morphine pills.
