Scott H. Easton, 55, of Blooming Prairie, Minnesota, passed away Monday, May 7, 2018, at Prairie Manor Care Center in Blooming Prairie.
Scott Harlan Easton was born May 18, 1962, in Owatonna, Minnesota, to Harlan and Marjorie (Loew) Easton. He graduated from Blooming Prairie High School in 1981. Scott then attended college at the Vocational Technical School in Faribault, Minnesota. On June 13, 1998, he married Julie Adams at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Brownsdale, Minnesota. The couple made their home in Blooming Prairie and together had two sons. Scott worked for Viracon in Owatonna for 20 years and also owned and operated S & J Lawn Care. He was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Blooming Prairie. Scott was a great Minnesota Vikings fan and loved bald eagles, camping and grilling; he would cook out year round. He also enjoyed doing lawn work and building his business, but most of all Scott enjoyed time spent with his family. Scott will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his wife, Julie Easton of Blooming Prairie; sons, Travis Easton of Blooming Prairie and Jeffrey Easton of Blooming Prairie; brothers, Robert (Jane) Easton of Albert Lea, Minnesota, and Rod (Tess) Koster of Elysian, Minnesota; sisters, Connie Trihus of Blooming Prairie and Rita (David) Braaten of Owatonna; mother-in-law and father-in-law, John and Doreen Adams of Austin, Minnesota; sisters-in-law, Tammy (Steve) Pfeifer of Austin and Laurie (Kerry) Dinges of Ness City, Kansas; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harlan and Marjorie Easton; brothers, Richard and Ronnie Koster; and sister, Carole Stish.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 12, 2018, at the First Lutheran Church in Blooming Prairie with Pastor Heidi Heimgartner officiating. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, May 11, 2018, at the First Lutheran Church in Blooming Prairie and for one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church. Interment will be in Red Oak Grove Cemetery in rural Austin. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the family.
