KSMQ presents Ethan Bortnick in concert

Ethan Bortnick, the 17-year-old national known pianist, singer, composer and actor will perform in Austin on Sept. 28 as part of his national tour, “Generations of Music.”
He will be joined by Austin student singers from Ellis Middle School and Pacelli High School for a group of songs.
Bortnick is recognized by Guinness World Records as “The World’s Youngest Solo Musician to Headline His Own Concert Tour.” He has performed around the world for 10 years, collecting over $50,000,000 for charities in the process.
“Seeing Ethan and his band live is amazing,” said. Eric Olson, KSMQ president and CEO. “His latest composition is entitled, ‘Be Who You Are.’ His message and music are uplifting for all ages. He is a favorite of PBS and we are fortunate to be able to bring him to Austin for the first time.”
The concert will be held at 7 p.m. in Austin High School’s Knowlton Auditorium and is sponsored by KSMQ Public Television. The Austin Positive Action Coalition is a directing sponsor.
Tickets are $25 and are available on KSMQ.org or at the Austin Hy-Vee. Family discounts are available.
The concert is a fundraiser for KSMQ Public Television and proceeds will help the station in its efforts to build a new broadcast facility.
Along with the concert, Bortnick is holding a local talent show for area singers, dancers and musicians ages 4-25, with the winner appearing on his live national concert to be filmed in Los Angeles later this year.
