A name-calling altercation led to a teen being shot twice with a pellet gun on Tuesday evening at Sumner Elementary.

According to Austin Police Chief Brian Krueger, police responded to a call at 5:51 p.m. on Tuesday at Sumner Elementary. The victim, a 14-year-old male, said that he and his 13-year-old friend were playing soccer at Sumner Elementary when two juvenile females rode by on their bikes and began calling them names. The teens reciprocated and the girls rode away.

One of the girls, an 11-year-old, returned and allegedly shot the victim twice with a silver and black airsoft pistol she had in her backpack. Police allegedly observed two welts on the victim, but did not find the girl.
