The Austin Post 1216 VFW baseball team has clinched the No. 3 seed in the Sub-District Tournament, giving it home field advantage this weekend in Marcusen Park.

Austin beat Rochester Century 21-7 on the road Tuesday night in a game that it had to win to get the home seed. If Post 1216 would’ve lost that contest, it would’ve finished in fifth place in the District and played on the road this weekend.

Austin will host the No. 6, No. 11 and No. 14 seeds this weekend. Games will take place at 10 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 3 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. on Saturday and 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. on Sunday.

The Austin Post 91 Legion doubleheader against Mankato will likely be moved to Riverland and begin at 4 p.m. on Saturday.
