Darrell (Terry) Terrance Fleener, 81, of Evans, Colorado, passed away, Friday, June 29, 2018, at home surrounded by family.
He was born July 10, 1936, in Owatonna, Minnesota, the son of Darrell and Agness (McInroy) Fleener.
Terry was united in marriage to Leota NaDeane Holliday on Dec. 1, 1957, in Mantorville, Minnesota. In 1962, he opened his first salon, Mr. Terry’s, in Austin, Minnesota, and five more salons followed in a great partnership. In Colorado, Terry had Sun Blaze Solar and Southwest Beauty and was employed by Evergreen Property Management and Arbor Properties.
He took special joy in all of his grandchildren. Terry loved telling a good story, a round of golf, fishing, picnicking and spending time with his friends and family in the mountains.
Terry will be greatly missed by his wife, NaDeane of Evans; son, Brad (Laurie) Fleener, Maple Grove, Minnesota; daughter, Dianne (Kevin) True, Hutchinson, Minnesota; son, Phil (Wendy) Fleener, Windsor, Colorado; son, Mark (Andrea) Fleener, Windsor; seven grandchildren, Sarah, Luke, Jen, Jess, Landon, Kollin and Hank; 16 great-grandchildren, Arabella, Gianna, Abraham, Juliet, Baily, Lucas, Quinn, Kylie, Eleanor, Eddie, Ava, Elorie, Peyton, Caden, Lyla and Levi; as well as nephews, nieces, and other relatives and friends.
Terry was preceded in death by his sister, Bonnie Wilson; sister, Evelyn Nosbish; brother, Keith; and parents, Darrell and Agness.
A celebration of life will be held from 2-4 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 3, 2018, at the Jay C. Hormel Nature Center, Ruby Rupner Room, 1304 21st St. NE In Austin. There will be a private burial in Pine Island, Minnesota. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred
