Mckenzie Besel of Austin, Minnesota, and Alex Weis of Luverne, Minnesota, have announced their engagement.

Mckenzie is the daughter of Rhonda and Paul Besel. She graduated from Austin High School in 2013 and Southwest Minnesota State University in 2018 with a degree in biology and middle school science education.

Alex is the son of Natasha and Tony Weis. He graduated from Luverne High School in 2013 and Southwest Minnesota State University in 2017 with a degree in K-12 physical education. Both McKenzie and Alex are in the teaching profession.

The couple will be married Aug. 11, 2018, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Austin.
