Touring a carnival of fun

If you are a horse enthusiast, like happy music and are fabulous our most recent trip would have been the trip for you.
This was the second time we have visited the Skyrock Farm. The first time was in 2017 for our Mystery Trip.
This family farm had more than one reason to visit.
The collection, which the owners have brought together over the years, includes a collection of over 450 carousels, which extend on shelving from floor to ceiling, accompanied by music from the many calliopes which has collected from all over the world.
It all came together on our tour to create a magical experience, learning the colorful history of the carousel animals and the artisans who carved them and to hear the beautifully restored antique dance organs belt out old and familiar tunes.
Following dinner in the Victorian Ballroom, we saw a world class horse demonstration. Skyrock Farm offers riding lessons to horse enthusiasts of all levels and have been raising grand prix-level horses over the years. They also have a small riding train around their ranch.
On our next venture, we make a return visit to the Marion Ross Theatre in Albert Lea for their presentation of Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast.” Gordy Handeland, of Austin, is the director.
Opening night is July 12. It’s always fun to include a mystery meal. We do have openings if you would call us soon at 507-438-3946,
Have a safe and happy holiday.
