Wealth Management Solutions, a private wealth advisory practice of Ameriprise Financial Services, Inc., is hosting a Kindness Rock event in hopes of helping spread kindness throughout the Austin and surrounding communities.

“This is a great movement that we have not seen in our community yet,” said Financial Advisor Randy Kramer in a press release. “We thought it was a great opportunity and we can’t wait to get it kickstarted in Austin.”

Kindness rocks are rocks that are painted with encouraging words and spread throughout the community for others to find. When you find a rock, replace it with another and take that one to a different location to circulate the kindness.

“When I heard about the Kindness Rock movement and that it’s going viral, I thought it was a perfect fit for the Austin community,” said financial advisor Brianne Brede. “Growing up in a small town, you tend to take for granted the kindness of your neighbors. This is a nice, conscious way to signify that kindness.”

“We are hoping to help the Austin community spread kindness, get creative and have some fun together,” added, Jamie Surdy, another financial advisor with Wealth Management Solutions.

To participate, stop by the Ameriprise Financial office located at 329 N Main St Suite 201 Austin, MN between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday. Wealth Management Solutions is supplying the rocks and painting materials. Everyone is welcome to participate in “Spreading the Kindness.”
