The Austin Police Department will host its fourth annual Citizen Academy starting in September. Participants can learn about police work and meet the officers.

The free, six-week course will be every Tuesday from 6-8:30 p.m. on Sept. 11, 18 and 25 and Oct. 2, 9 and 16 at the Mower County Law Enforcement Center.

To participate, you must be an Austin resident or business owner age 21 or older.

Applications are available at the Law Enforcement Center or online at www.ci.austin.mn.us. Early registration is recommended as class size is limited to 20 people.

It is asked that those who sign-up please plan to attend all sessions.
