I commend Jim Hagedorn for his sincerity. He has not only run a consistent campaign in southern Minnesota, but he has enmeshed himself amongst all our communities. Most importantly, he has stayed positive and true to his message.

In a recent mailing, Jim’s primary opponent, Carla Nelson, illustrated she does not seem to know who Jim is or where he is from. She has chosen the path of character assassination and negativity due to a lack of comprehension of what it takes to run for Congress. This is a reprehensible “11th-hour attack.”

Jim has answered this question himself in his recent TV ad. He and his family are rooted in Southern Minnesota. This is where his values stand.  This is where his character was formed.

As he says in the TV ad: “where we’re from, is who we are.”

Maybe Carla does not know rural Minnesota. That is why I am voting for Jim Hagedorn on Aug. 14.
