AMP taking a look at sleep with Mayo doctor
Published 11:32 am Saturday, September 29, 2018
Our next Aging Mastery Program (AMP) is at 2 p.m. on Tuesday.
This class is on sleep. Dr. Kubas from the Mayo Clinic is the speaker.
Have you ever had problems sleeping? Along with the other changes that happen as we get older, changes in sleep patterns are part of the aging process.
It is normal as we age to have a harder time falling asleep and more trouble staying asleep than when we were younger. Although it is a common belief that we need less sleep as we age, in fact our sleep needs are consistent throughout adulthood.
If you have questions about sleep and this class interests you, you’re welcome to join us. No matter what age you are, you are never too old to learn. If you would like to attend this class please call Teresa at (507) 481-3332.
Everyone is welcome. Hope to see you there.
Looking into body donation
At 2 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 11, we will be having a class on body donation by Shaun Heath with the Mayo Clinic.
There will be more information on the class as it gets closer. If you are interested in attending, please stop by the Senior Center or call 1-507-433-2370 to sign up.
Don’t forget our coffee shop where every day you can have homemade soup for $1 and sandwich for 50 cents.
Tuesday we are having scalloped potatoes and ham in the coffee shop for only $2. You are always welcome at the center. See you here!
