Robert Peter Olson, 85, of Blooming Prairie, Minnesota, passed away Saturday Sept. 1, 2018, at Owatonna Homestead Hospice House in Owatonna, Minnesota.

Robert was born Aug. 12, 1933, in Kanabec County, Minnesota, to Henry and Eunice (Houchin) Moser. He was united in marriage to Mary Jane Thorn on Dec. 10, 1955, in Northwood, Iowa. Robert was employed for 49 years with Lysne Construction of Blooming Prairie. Following his retirement, he worked several part time jobs in the area. Robert enjoyed camping and traveling, and was an avid fisherman.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mary Jane of Blooming Prairie; three children, Robert (Peggy) Olson of Blooming Prairie, Cheri (Dave) Klug of Blooming Prairie, and Violet Lane of Austin, Minnesota; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brothers Roy (Cheryl) Olson and Harold (Billie) Moser, all of Blooming Prairie; five stepchildren Jim (Mary) Stepan of Stillwater, Minnesota, David (Chris) Stepan of Stillwater, Mark (Linda) Skinner of Milaca, Minnesota, Matthew (Mary) Skinner of Elk River, Minnesota, and Sue Terdan of Kentucky; and many nieces and nephews and other extended family and friends.

Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2018, at Worlein Blooming Prairie Funeral Home with Pastor Thompson officiating. Interment will follow in the Blooming Prairie Cemetery. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.worlein.com.
