Austin grad Madison Overby took 66th place for the University of North Dakota at the Roy Griak Invitational at the University of Minnesota on Sept. 29.

Overby finished the 6,000 meter race with a time of 22:59.2.

SOCCER

Austin grad Abel Gebrekiros fired off one shot on goal for Iowa Lakes Community College as the Lakers (11-2-1 overall) beat Iowa Western 2-1 for the first time in program history.

Gebrekrios has three goals and nine assists on the season.

VOLLEYBALL

Hayfield grad Savanna Cordle had eight kills and a block and Austin grad Kelsey Sederquest had nine digs for Waldorf University (2-14 overall) as the Warriors lost to Dickinson State in four games Sept. 29.

Hayfield grad Carrie Rutledge was named MCAC player of the week as she has helped RCTC get off to a 14-4 overall start.

Rutledge racked up 25 kills and 14 digs in a four-game win over NIACC.
