After releasing its annual goals-based evaluation of Superintendent David Krenz, the Austin School Board had nothing but high praise for him.
During Monday’s meeting, school board members gave their statement regarding Krenz’s overall performance. The evaluation was held with Krenz and the school board in a closed meeting on Sept. 24.
“Mr. Krenz is mindful of developing leadership potential throughout the District with training in the Baldrige process,” the statement reads. “He was commended on the extraordinary pool of talent within the District’s administrative team and Principals (sic).”
The school board went on to explain Krenz had demonstrated a “strong desire to do what is best for students and our community.” Board members also said Krenz had been commended on his community involvement and representing the district in a variety of groups.
“The members of the School Board are impressed with both the depth and breadth of work that Superintendent Krenz continues to do on behalf of the students of Austin Public Schools and are excited about the bright future of Austin Public Schools,” the statement concluded.
Angie Goetz, Austin School Board chairwoman, also added an additional sentiment to those attending the meeting, after the statement was read.
“We are grateful for you,” Goetz said.
