Christmas in the NW: 4-7 p.m., Nov. 27, 18th Avenue and the surrounding area

Make plans to enjoy the next installment of Christmas celebrations in Austin with “Christmas in the NW” today from 4-7 p.m. in and around the 18th Avenue area.
The event is sponsored by the Austin Area Chamber of Commerce.
A whole stocking-full of activities are planned:
•Applebee’s: Bring the kids in and take pictures with Santa. Drawing for gift certificate.
•Arby’s: Stop in for a treat and register for a prize drawing.
•Asa Auto Plaza of Austin: Kids can make a snowman picture frame, while the whole family enjoys hot apple cider.
•Austin Holiday Inn: Come in for hot apple cider, make reindeer food and write a letter to Santa.
•Culvers: Stop in to see Santa and his elf. Kids will have fun at the coloring station. Enjoy hot chocolate and candy.
•Games People Play: Free homemade donuts, face painting and exclusive sales throughout the store.
•Hardee’s: Stop in for hot chocolate and cookies. Register for a prize drawing.
•Hy-Vee: Come for cookie decorating in the Hy-Vee Kitchen.
•Perkins Restaurant: Kids eat free (one child per adult) and kids can register for gift card drawings.
•Pizza Hut: Purchase $15 in-store and receive a free appetizer (includes cheesesticks, breadsticks, cookies, brownies or cinnabon bites). Crafts, kids coloring contest-where the winners will receive a free personal pan pizza.
•Pizza Ranch: Children 10 and under eat free with purchase of adult buffet (1 child per adult). Pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus.
•Shopko: Enjoy apple cider, juice, cookies, while watching a Christmas cartoon and making a magic color scratch ornament.
•Stadheim Jewelers: Join us for children’s bracelet making. Enjoy coffee, cider and cookies. Register for a Pandora Bracelet. All in-stock merchandise 20 percent off.
•Super Fresh Produce and Bakery: Make apple crisp with local grown Haralson apples, Hope Butter and brown sugar topping.
