Donna J. Andersen, 82, of Austin, Minnesota, passed away Monday, Nov. 5, 2018, at Mayo Clinic Health System in Austin.

Donna Jean Bakken was born Jan. 20, 1936, in LeRoy, Minnesota, the daughter of Carl and Anna (Wendt) Bakken. On June 28, 1953, Donna was united in marriage to Merle P. Andersen in Austin. Together the couple had seven children. After their marriage, Donna and Merle lived for a time in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and returned to Austin in 1995. Donna enjoyed her role as a stay at home mother. She truly loved spending time with her grandchildren and family. Donna also loved to cook and bake for them and liked to read in her spare time. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her children, Rick (Marilyn Iverson) Andersen of Austin, Mark Andersen of Austin, Dan Andersen of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Nicolas Andersen of Austin, Vicky (Mike) Arndt of Austin and Patti Clarke of Pensacola, Florida; five grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; brother, Duane (Bonnie) Bakken of Blooming Prairie, Minnesota; and sister-in-law, Patricia Andersen of Rose Creek, Minnesota. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Anna Bakken; husband, Merle Andersen; daughter, Julie McGuire; grandson, Jamey Andersen; and siblings, Mel, Darrell, Ardith and Duane.

Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 9, 2018, at Oakwood Cemetery in Austin. Please gather with the family 15 minutes before the service at the cemetery.
