For those making travel plans this weekend, be wary of slick conditions and snow.
A winter weather advisory will go into effect from 6 p.m. on Friday until 6 a.m. Saturday. Traveling on Friday night and overnight may be a bit slick for travelers, according to the National Weather Service in La Crosse (NWS)
Snow will arrive after 5 p.m. and last until early Saturday morning, with 2 to 4 inches of snow possible for the region, and lesser amounts into southwest Minnesota and Iowa, with 2 inches possible. Some parts of Minnesota could see upwards of 5 inches, according to the NWS.
Those looking to make travel plans this weekend are advised to be careful and take additional time to reach a destination as road conditions are expected to become slippery.
