No injuries in Rose Creek combine fire

No injuries were reported after a combine caught fire on Tuesday afternoon.
According to Mower County Senior Sgt. Investigator Steve Sandvik, Mower County deputies and Rose Creek firefighters responded to a combine fire call at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday in the 58000 block of 160th Street in rural Rose Creek. The owner said he was combining corn when he saw flames coming out of the front end.
The Rose Creek Fire Department was able to extinguish the fire quickly. Sandvik said it is believed corn stalks were responsible for the fire.
There is no damage estimate at this time.
