The Lyle-Pacelli boys basketball team beat Mabel-Canton (1-2 overall, 1-1 SEC) 69-50 on the road Friday.
The Cougars came back and tied the game in the second half and the Athletics (1-1 overall, 1-1 SEC) were playing without Cole Walter and Buay Koak, who were both injured, but LP was able to pull off the win.
“It was a rough game. Mabel-Canton has a big, strong team and there was a lot of pushing and shoving,” LP head coach Scott Koenigs said. “The young guys did a good job for us.”
LP scoring: Mach Diang, 22; Jed Nelson, 18; Zach Bollingberg, 15; Aron Hoffer-Toth, 10; Tyson Anderson, 3; Koak, 1; free throws: 60 percent (24-for-40)
